Duane Beougher has been an active member of the Church of the Open Word since 1979, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors as Treasurer.

Originally from Western Kansas, Mr. Beougher was raised in the Swedenborgian church tradition (his grandfather was long-time pastor of the Pawnee Rock, Kansas church).

In everyday life, Mr. Beougher is a remodeling contractor, specializing in kitchen, bath and total gut rehabbing of older homes in historic neighborhoods.

His interests include study of Swedenborgian theology, the G.I. Gurdjieff teaching, and sacred geometry, (as relates to harmony in architectural space, music & poetry).
